With the holiday season upon us, it's the perfect time to open up your hearts and homes to a shelter animal. At Animal Care and Control in New York City, I found five fur angels all waiting to be adopted.
Let's start with Rocky, a beautiful 1-year-old hound mix who will melt your heart with his stellar disposition. Next, we have a stunning puppy named Charlie. This gorgeous red 6-month-old Shiba Inu is smart as a whip and sweet as sugar. Then we have a tiny angel named Cottonball. This 1-year-old girl is as cute as a button and playful as can be.
Finally we have two fabulous felines who are both 1-year-old orange domestic shorthairs. They tragically lost their home because of Hurricane Sandy and their owners, who are now also homeless, had to give them up. They desperately need a loving family who will provide the care and attention they need. We'd also love for these two sweethearts to stay together if possible!
So here are three amazing dogs and two wonderful cats who are hoping to get the best Christmas gift in the world — a new permanent home. It will be the best gift you will ever receive too!
